This is another old song.  It was later re-written and recorded with State Bird and appeared on the "four new songs" e.p.  I apologize for the lack of posts recently.  But it is for good reason, kind of.  The cobra album should be done soon.  We have finally started working on the new state bird album.  Go Tribe.

I realize that i did not put a song up last week.  The tape machine pictured above is part of the reason why. I traded in the ease and comfort of computer recording for the "what the hell is wrong with this piece of shit" of analog recording.  But in the end i believe it is worth it.  The song is a rough demo.  but its the first thing i completed on my new tape recorder.  Blue is still barking.

I am also starting to record an album.  So that means i probably wont be posting new songs up here as regularly for the next few weeks.  I will try to still put something up, but most likely an old song.

I gave Blue (Wild bills damn dog that lives next door to my studio) his own track to bark all he wants on this one.

Wild Bills dog chained up outside, the creaky furnace, and the passing cars all lent a hand in recording this song.  The lyrics were inspired by sitting inside and feeling lazy.  Then drinking a few cups of coffee and realizing how much i should be doing with my life that i'm not.  I'm not sure where the 90's grungy guitar solo came from.  Probably all the Nirvana youtube videos caleb has been watching when he comes to my house. Winter is still cold.  And the cracks in the walls still need a second coat of mud.  But its March.  Spring training has begun, indoor seeds are starting to grow, and i think i might play a few games of racket ball tommorrow.

This song began by clicking some drum sticks together and then running the track through a delay pedal.  Everything else sort of fell into place.   My pal caleb came down one day and recorded the drum tracks.
